Recovery Management

The process of fully recovering from a community emergency or natural disaster is a coordinated effort that can take as little as a few hours or as long as a matter of years depending on the magnitude and nature of the event. The recovery process is managed by selected leadership who work within a Unified Recovery Management Team.  This Team establishes recovery objectives and coordinates the process of acquiring and managing resources necessary to support those objectives.  The Unified Recovery Management Team is usually chaired by someone from the Public Works Department of the impacted city.
