INSURANCE ELIGIBILITYDouglas County offers medical/dental coverage to employees effective on the 91st day of regular, full-time (21 hours or more per week) employment. Our medical and dental plans are a package, so if employees wants dental they also have to enroll in medical and vice versa. Employees also must elect the same coverage tier for both as well. Employees who elect medical/dental coverage will also be enrolled in a vision plan as well. Premiums will be deducted on a pretax basis from each pay period the month after the employee's effective date. Employees may chose to "waive out" of the medical/dental plan if they have coverage elsewhere.
