The medical department at the
Baseline services provided include, but are not limited to, an in-depth clinical assessment, physical examination, x-ray and phlebotomy, dental and visual examination as needed, and medication review and administration.
The medical department acts as a liaison between detention and community outpatient services. We provide continuity of care by facilitating external medical appointments previously arranged, court ordered medical appointments and appointments initiated by our staff as a result of clinical findings.
The department’s clinical expertise ranges from neonatology to gerontology. Staffing is comprised of a consulting psychologist, physician assistant, 5 registered nurses, and a medical technician. All staff is basic life support certified.
